Four
Pilates

A pilates studio focused on self-discovery, building strength and creating a transformative journey.

Four Pilates wanted to build its brand and have a website allowing users to learn more about pilates, join a class, sign up for a membership, and feed their curiosity into the pilates practice.

As the first black-woman owned pilates studio in the Washington D.C. area, it was important that the branding reflected diversity, strength, and leadership, standing out against the competition.

My Role:

Branding
UX design
Wireframing
Social Media Design
Website Maintenance

VISUAL IDENTITY

Four Pilates wanted to create a visual identity that was original to their studio, encouraging the symbiotic relationship between mind, body, wellness and natural forms. It was important for the branding to be gender neutral as Pilates is often seen as a woman-centered practice. We also wanted to use a color palette that felt strong and powerful, rather than soft and delicate like branding that can be seen for other pilates studios.

WEBSITE

I designed Four Pilates website to reflect the visual identity of the brand and create a space to learn more about pilates and seamlessly book classes.

For uses, the Four Pilates site required

  • ability to book classes and appointments with a trainer

  • learn more about the principles of pilates

  • information on how to prepare for classes

  • ability to contact the studio for private sessions or more information
